Traditional round rod lasers suffer from severe thermal birefringence and thermal lensing effects under high-power pumping, making it difficult to simultaneously achieve high average power and high beam quality. In order to solve this problem, Martin et al. put forward the concept of Flat noodles laser in 1969, which significantly improved the heat dissipation performance. However, factors such as the thermal effect of gain medium will still cause the wavefront distortion of the beam and reduce the beam quality. How to obtain high average power and high beam quality at the same time is always a major problem in the development of solid Flat noodles lasers.
